On 14 November 2019, Kunststofftechnik Paderborn once again held an information day for pupils. This time, students from the Q2 of the Ostendorf-Gymnasium in Lippstadt, who are about to complete their A-levels, were welcomed. The info days serve to give a comprehensive insight into studying mechanical engineering with a focus on plastics technology.
The largest international trade fair in the field of plastics, rubber and plastics processing, "K 2019", took place again this year from 16.10.2019 to 23.10.2019. As part of the cooperation between the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Paderborn and the Chinese-German Technical Faculty (CDTF) at Qingdao University, Dr Sascha Schiller (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering) and Marius Wittke (KTP) held a two-week block course on the basics of plastics processing and process engineering in China at the beginning of September.

On 16 May, the annual general meeting of the Verein zur Förderung der Kunststofftechnologie e.V. (Association for the Promotion of Plastics Technology) took place at the University of Paderborn.
